Bougainvillea - "Juanita Hatten"

It's time to bring my bougainvillea indoors for the winter. I planted it in the spring in a garden pot, and it did not flower - not once! So I'm determined to save it over the winter and try again next year. The base is firm, healthy and woody, and is about 2 inches in diameter. The height on the trellis is about 6 feet, so I need to prune it down to 18 inches or so. I'll add a photo to this post, and then follow up next year to see how it did.
